RAINBOW CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The Rainbow product is an open source initiative to build a comprehensive content management system using Microsoft's ASP.NET, C# and also Visual Basic technology.  Rainbow, available today in 16 languages, allows content authoring to be safely delegated to role-based team members who need little or no knowlege of HTML. Rainbow optionally supports a two-step approval-publish process. 50 plug-in modules are now included in the standard release, including support for an e-store, XML news feeds, Flash, Maps, Newsletter, Surveys, Forums, Document Management, Custom Lists, and more. Customized Layouts and Themes Every page's layout and themes can be different from portal's layout and themes. User Management and Security Roles  Control the ability for users in a specific role to view, edit, add, or delete content either by individual module or by page. Use either Windows authentication (username/password in Active Directory or NT SAM) or web Forms authentication (username/password stored in SQL Server).  Workflow Support  Rainbow supports a two-step approval process where content is first posted to a staging server and then migrated to the production server after approval.
